Despite being precautious, unfortunately I got the flu, so last week I was forced to stop workout sessions for a while :/ Not a good news, when You prepare for challenges in April... Besides that, there was fantastic spring weather in Hungary, and that was a torture to just sit and see my bike waiting for the time to get out. Nevertheless, I'm feeling better, maybe today back in the routine. And I had some time to browse my old pictures. This one is not so old 😃 last trip from the Dolomites. 03/2019 #dolomiti ...

I think in the background there is the top of Austria - Grossglockner. With several alpine routes to its famous summit, the "big bell" is often crowded destination for climbers, offering wide scale of opportunities - glacier, via ferrata, ice climbing, rock climbing. We were fortunate enough to see its sheer beauty from Strudelkopf. Maybe this year I go back for a climb. 03/2019 #dolomiti#hiking

Yesterday, back in the fantastic Dolomites... Tre Cime in the sunshine. We hiked up to Strudelkopf with snowshoes, in beautiful weather. Spring is my love. 03/2019 #dolomiti#hiking

Climbing Nevado Pisco was a good lesson to learn, gaining much experience. First, two hours in a labyrinth of the glacier's morena can he confusing. Second, motivate continously Your rope partner not to give up is a big task. Third, You should always bring more water that You think. Peru, 06/2015 #homewherethemountainsare#peru

Before we started Santa Cruz trek, we went for a little acclimatization near Huaraz. From Laguna Wilcacocha you can see the beautiful summits of Cordillera Blanca... Peru, 06/2015 #homewherethemountainsare#peru
Still memories from Peru, the Santa Cruz trek. We had unstable weather, but when the clouds passed the blue sky where intense... My favourite periods were the post rainy ones. With views like this... 06/2015 #homewherethemountainsare#peru

The fantastic laguna of Arhuaycocha, above 4400 mtrs, on the third day the Santa Cruz trek. I've used only a cpl filter on my lens... I was amazed the intensity of colours. We were really fortunate with the weather. 06/2015 #homewherethemountainsare#peru

Highlight from one of the most scenic trail of Peru - the Santa Cruz trek. The trail takes a big curve between the fantastic 5000er peaks of Cordillera Blanca - like Alpamayo or Artensonraju. Beside the Himalayas, my favourite mountain range. Gotta go back for a climb 😃 06/2015 #homewherethemountainsare#peru

It is always hard to transport the food and all the equipment to the base camps in the Khumbu Valley. Besides the human porters, the main assistance for this job are the yaks, the domestic cattle, and their hybrid, the dzo. I don't know, which one is on my picture, I mainly concentrated to get air 😃 03/2013 #homewherethemountainsare#nepal

I didn't have a tripod, so after sunset I tried to fix my camera on the top of a stone fence and compose a picture with my gloves used as a base. After a few tries that was the result. As good as it gets 😃 At the end my hands were cold as ice without proper gloves on, but it was so nice to see Ama Dablam in the night moonshine. The next day we visited the local internet cafe, and sent some mail home using an old PC, which was in a small room in one of ...

My first visit to Nepal I was shocked about the sheer size of the mountains. Every time I was fortunate to visit again, I always worry about the weather, the conditions. Or, as the locals told me, will the gods or godesses of the summits be gracious to let us near. Fortunately I didn't feel disappointed because of the wheather, after waiting and working for months, I was awarded with unforgettable memories. This is my first sunset I saw Machapuchare glowing in pink. Without this shot I would clearly remember to this view. 10/2012 #homewherethemountainsare#nepal ...

Descending from Mera Peak to the high camp (5800 mtrs). During the way down we were awarded with fantastic view to the main ridge of the mighty Himalaya. But, thanks to the nice clean weather, we were fortunate enough to see five treasures of the high snow, the enourmous Kangchendzonga, the third highest peak of the world also. You can spot it in the background. The mountain was the last one two Hungarian climbers (Zsolt Erőss, Péter Kiss) ascended before ending their life during their descending. 09/2016 #homewherethemountainsare#nepal ...

Ascending to Mera Peak from the direction of Mera La. After the pass - thanks to the glacier - the trail was straightforward to the high camp. Above the clouds in the distance You can find Everest. From the higherbsections the view became more phenomenal, with five 8000er (Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Kanjendzonga). 09/2016 #homewherethemountainsare#nepal

Machapuchare, one of the sacred mountains never climbed in the Annapurna region. The almost 7000er peak is the most iconic summit in the region. In Pokhara, the biggest town of this region, the Phewa Lake offers good opportunity just to have a rest after trekking in the region. You can paddleboat or - You won't figure it out- paraglide as well. This paraglider was nice enough to cross my viewpoint. I remember using extender also. 10/2012 #homewherethemountainsare#nepal ...
