My cousins took me around downtown Dayton, and I stumbled upon the most magical vintage shop ✨ I’m very passionate about supporting local, secondhand, and ethical businesses, and I was in VINTAGE HEAVEN. 🙌🏼 I’ll be honest... I was totally feeling myself in this ensemble that I wore out of the shop. What do you wear to feel like your best self? I’m all about those hats! 🎩 . . . 📷 @_hillaryjean_
There’s a pretty neat art scene in Dayton, OH 🎨 My family took me to a friend’s art studio, and we got to check out a bunch of other artists’ work as well. It’s so inspiring to watch that creative process unfold.
For the first time EVER, @jkhader88 and I are on the same schedule! He recently got a new job, which means dinners together, 11pm bedtimes, and coffee in the mornings. Feeling thankful for this new chapter of life for our little family 🖤☕️ . . . 📷 @ryleehopebeck

It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle. Personally, I don’t think my life will slow down until mid February. I’m trying to take a few moments each day to disconnect and just focus on breathing. How do you practice self-care when life gets busy? 🙏🏼 Please give me all the tips!
I walked into Rapha this morning to Christmas music 🎶 and I am TOTALLY FEELING IT. I’ve always been opposed to Christmas before Thanksgiving, but this year I’m embracing the holiday spirit early ☃️ At what point do you get excited for Christmas - after Halloween or Thanksgiving? . . . 📷 @jkhader88
Oh, how I love fall 🍂 The weather, the food, the fashion... I always look forward to pulling out my favorite pieces, including my @nisoloshoes Chelsea boots and my @tonledesign handwoven scarf 😍 What do you love most about fall?
This guy. My desert island person. You make me laugh when I want to cry, you keep me balanced when I start to fall (emotionally and physically), and you turn normal activities into an adventure. I love you @jkhader88 🖤 . . . 📷 @nat.herrod
I recently started working from home/coffee shops on Tuesday afternoons to focus on design and other big-picture projects that are usually on the back burner throughout the week. I have a tendency to be overly ambitious and get frustrated that Rapha is not on the same level as larger brands with more staff, more money, more Instagram followers, etc. It’s easy to become overwhelmed when you have big dreams. 🗝 I wear this key most days of the week, and each day it means something different. Today, I’m reminded that comparison is the thief of joy, and I choose to ...
I’m the queen of taking pictures and forgetting about them (among other things), and I just found this gem while scrolling through old photos. This is in a back alley in a local handmade market in Chiangmai. How could an alley be so inspiring?! 🖤 I think I need to go on an adventure soon.
Our Fall 2018 Collection is LIVE! Swipe to see some highlights... ✨ I’ve learned to roll with the punches when my vision for a collection falls through, which it often does when working in SE Asia. But I also learned back in design school that Plan B has the potential to be much more successful than Plan A. Click the link in bio to shop! 🖤 Thank you to @jkhader88 for always giving me honest feedback, @sthearin for being my right hand gal in Cambodia, @harrisonjen for being my sanity in the office, @jalexandradaniel for beautifully capturing my designs, and ...
It’s time to stand up. The hashtags #metoo and #believewomen are more than just a trendy thing to post on social media, it’s a movement of individuals using their voices and demanding to be heard. I consider myself a feminist not because I believe women are superior to men (a ridiculous concept - men are awesome), but because I believe we are equally human and deserve to be treated as such. . My greatest passion in life is using my gifts and resources to empower girls and women around the world. We encourage them to use their voices, and it ...
The @rhfreedomboutique Fall 2018 Collection launches in one week, but I’m already excited about Spring 2019! That’s when my labor of love, Rapha HOME, will launch with home goods in these gorgeous, naturally-dyed shibori patterns. 💛 I’m trying to be better about posting on my personal page, but there’s quite a bit of overlap when it comes to Rapha. It’s kind of a lifestyle more than a job! Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to also post about my cat from time to time.
Doha Stopover pt. 2: Souq Waqif - This “standing market” was filled with textiles, spices, and genie lamps as far as the eye could see. If it wasn’t literally 💯 degrees and suffocatingly humid, I could have walked around for hours! I would choose a local gem like this over shopping malls any day.
Doha Stopover pt. 1: The Museum of Islamic Art - “All Islamic pattern is based on the idea that what we see is always and only part of a whole that extends to infinity.” - I remember this style of art sticking out to me when I studied art history in school, but this museum took my breath away. The architecture, the balance and symmetry of the exhibits, the distinct patterns and colors... I highly recommend a visit if you happen to find yourself on this side of the world!
Last day in Thailand... It’s been an incredible three weeks, and possibly one of my best trips to SE Asia. I will be forever grateful to @raphahouse for the opportunity to play a small part in the lives of these girls. Watching them grow in both skills and confidence has been life-changing for me, and there is nothing I wouldn’t do to help them succeed. If you’d like to learn more about what I’ve been up to, follow @rhfreedomboutique and watch the story highlights! Until next time, Chiang Mai 🖤
