1️⃣3️⃣ 𝗞𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗗𝗜 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞 Situated approximately 250 km from Upington in the far Northern Cape, (1000 km from Cape Town and 904 km from Johannesburg), Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is characterised by vast arid landscapes with red dunes, sparse vegetation and camel thorn trees. 🇿🇦❤️ A whole host of wildlife call this magical spot home, including the unique black-maned lions, leopards, cheetah, hyena, gemsbok, springbok, meerkats and more! 🦁 It's also known as being one of the best places to star-gaze in the whole of South Africa due to minimal light pollution. ✨ Video by @chelseakauai, photos by @kimjayde #instameetsouthafrica

Pictured is an adventure through the heart of the Storms River Gorge with @untouchedadventures who offer kayak and lilo tours, for an up close and personal encounter with this vastly untouched area. Alternatively you can walk along the Storms River Mouth boardwalk and meander through the forest towards the Storms River Bridge. As we continue our countdown, we head 300km north of Cape Town to dramatic Cederberg Mountains, pictured by @chelseakauai on her visit this week. 😍🇿🇦 If you're feeling active we can highly recommend the Wolfberg Arch Trail; a 7-hour trail that takes you through dramatic rock formations to the magnificent Wolfberg Arch (pictured in the second photo by @kimjayde). #instameetsouthafrica

Known by the Xhosa people as "izi Khaleni" which means "place of thunder", this remarkable landmark was created millions of years ago through the restless action of waves against sandstone and shale.
