The ultrarunning community in Southern California is fairly large but small enough that at some point you start seeing the same faces out training on a trail somewhere, or work an aid-station at a race and help them out, or maybe you're asked to pace someone at the last moment and make a new friend over 20 to 40 miles of a 100 mile race. Race week! I'm so unprepared for Black Canyon 100k! Just didn't have time to train and also got sick, so going to have to rely on experience, stubbornness and desire to get that qualification for Mogollon 100. I've done other ultra races on short notice and managed to finish but it's always a dice roll. Hoping for the best 🙏🤞 . . . #ultrarunning#trails
