Miss crazy places like these. I love going to Joshua Tree, it's like being on a different planet that's also a playground out of this world! Can you spot the human? 📷 Photo taken as the sun was setting the first time I was in Joshua Tree. Experimenting with some heavier editing, undecided as to whether I like it or not. Let me know what you think! • • • • • #iamjohannes#travelpics

Because I never got into the habit of using crashpads when bouldering... 📷 Photo taken by @matthewonmission when we stopped on the side of the road because I saw something that was climbable. • • • • • #iamjohannes#travelon
Happy new year! 🎉 2018 has been a crazy ride! Lots of lessons to be learned and applied next year. Let me know in the comments what you're looking forward to next year or what you've learned this year! 📷 Photo from "one of those days" when me and @maceyloomis spent about 11 hours to get into Yosemite to climb a little and eat a lot of snacks! • • • • • #iamjohannes#travelling ...
Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks for following and all your nice comments! Let me know in the comments or a DM what you want to see more of next year! Take care! • • • • • #iamjohannes#tourism
I used to hate snow. I think it's just part of being Swedish, you just need something to complain about and it usually ends up being the weather. In the summer it's either rainy or "too hot". Spring and fall are sort of inbetweens and anything goes. And in the winter you have the snow. But when I lived in Canada I learned to appreciate it and now I love it! I don't know if the Canadian snow is simply better or if I got a different perspective on it, but I think it shows that you can change ...
I've been super busy with work for the past few weeks. Freelancing is great, but I'm terrible at managing my schedule so I end up doing these insane bursts of work... Had to put adventure planning aside for a little bit, but now things are starting to slow down for Christmas and new ideas are popping into my head! 📷 Photo from the time I went backpacking in King's Canyon and saw the biggest trees ever. • • • • • #iamjohannes#adventure ...
Today I woke up and saw some snow outside the window. Not enough to do anything fun with, but at least it's not just the brownish gray colors that have been for a few weeks now. 📷 Photo from a while back when I went on a roadtrip in Norway with @wildfire.eurasianvanlife. We had planned to climb a whole bunch but it was raining the whole time... But one thing I learned when I lived in Vancouver was that when it rains in the city it snows in the mountains. So we got to see some beautiful snow covered ...
I know I've barely been in Sweden for 4 months now, but I'm already getting restless and ready to go somewhere else again... Any suggestions? 📷 Photo from that afternoon I was bored out of my mind and then @lifeoflove52_ took me and @boraneiser climbing a beautiful slab in the sunset and had chips for dinner. • • • • • #iamjohannes#travelphoto
That time we summited Norway's second highest peak and got to hike down in the sunset. It was gorgeous, the only problem was to find our tent when it was pitch black. Also rolling boulders and freezing temperatures... • • • • • #iamjohannes#jotunheimen
Had to get my van fixed for a few days after smoke started coming from under the hood... It's all good now though, just needed a new generator! Looking forward to new adventures! • • • • • #iamjohannes#yosemite
Winter is coming up fast! Miss summer and climbing until after sunset and then wade across logs in the water back to the car. --- 📷 Photo of @camleeyoga and her belayer @camomilletee when we went climbing together in Copper Cove last summer 🧗♀️ • • • • • #iamjohannes#outdoorexperten
It's been sunny for the last couple of days, but the temperature is a dead giveaway that it's not summer anymore... --- 📷 Photo of my friend @tomgordon89 when we climbed in Lighthouse Park this summer. Miss you dude, prepare the land down under for me! • • • • • #iamjohannes#climb
I feel like a sack of potatoes when I go climbing now. It's been hard to keep up any sort of routine and much less one that involves physical exercise, ever since I got back to Sweden and the crazy schedule I create for myself here. I want to blame my surroundings but I know that I'm ultimately in charge of my time, so I only have myself to blame... Do you have any good tips on how to stay motivated and exercise regularly even when things are crazy? Let me know! 📷 Photo from when I went climbing ...
Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much slacklining this year, but hopefully I'll get back into it soon enough! At least I got a climb in today! 📷 Another photo of @air_walk_kid during last year's "Slackoween" in Squamish #slacklifebc#getinvolved • • • • •
I don't really know how to feel about fall. The changing colors are amazing but it's hard not to miss long summer days or to not wish the snow was here already... 📷 Photo of @air_walk_tribe during last year's "Slackoween" in Squamish. I miss the whole @slacklifebc family and times like these! #slacklifebc#getinvolved • • • • •

The other morning it was only 4°C (40°F) in my van when I woke up. It's definitely getting to the point where the sleeping bag feels a little extra cozy at night. Good for me the Swedish winter isn't very long... Photo taken along the road between Trondheim and Åre a few weeks ago. • • • • • #iamjohannes#earthofficial
