We are saying goodbye to the winter season! Our Owls are taking a little break during Easter🐥, and will be back to greet with joy the #midnightsun 🌞 . What a great pic from Jeff T. >> @joffrey_thevenon_photography . #explorenorway
We booked a tour with @wanderingowltromso to try to see the Northern Lights on our second night in Tromsø. Unfortunately it was just way too cloudy that we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights at all. But it was still an amazing experience for us all! We were able to sit around a warm campfire on snow benches, try reindeer soup (which was surprisingly delicious!), gaze up into the (mostly cloudy) sky, and take in the Arctic nature that surrounded us. #wanderingowltromso#northernlights
A great group of enthusiast Owls 🦉waiting for the gaps in the sky, chasing for the #northernlights. Almost too comfy in front of our #campfire!? . Photographer Karolis K., during one of his last nights.
We still get some amazing lights here 🤩! "oh yes" we will never get bored by those fantastic colors! 🎨 . @zoes.atlas will be out there till the end 💪 one of THE last audacious #northernlights chaser 😎 >> thanks for the great shot!
The sun is shining for us 🦉in Tromsø! Our Owls are starting dreaming about summer, icy cocktails🍹and sandy beaches 🏖️ . Yes, 😎 #wedare . Few weeks to go before our #midnightsun adventures🌞 and last chance to see the this week! . Thanks Karolis K. our and for this great shot!
#mothernature 🎆 is blessing us with wonderful colors during the last days of our #aurorahunt season, and 🦄, for the joy of our talented photographers! 📷 . Her name is Zoe >> check out her work & follow her @zoes.atlas
How much snow has fallen?😂✌🏻💕 Thank you @wanderingowltromso for giving us such emotional landscapes and skies! . Guys! If you are in Tromsø I totally recommend this great team to plan your nearby trips!😊👍🏻 . . . #wanderingowltromso#arctic
Northern Norway is such a special place, and if you dare to dream about it, it means you might be very special too?🦉 "Watching the stars 🌟 around the #campfire 🔥and waiting for the #northernlights ". Photographer Karolis K.
We couldn't trust our own eyes yesterday night during our #aurorahunt 🤩 But no worries, it wasn't an UFO about to land on Tromsø island. 🛸 This is how the sky looks like when #andøyaspacecenter on @visitvesteralen sends rockets into space! 🚀 Happy and speechless guests we had! 😁 Photographer Karolis K. Snowy mountains on one side, sea on the other, secluded beach house, if I could live anywhere in the world, it’d be somewhere like this. Looking out over Gjellvika on Kvaløya island in Norway #norway#kvaløya
An #epicmoment captured by one of our Owls during the season. Few days are left for a chance to see the #auroraborealis. And you? What are you waiting for? . . Photographer Virgil R. Follow him >>> @virgilreglioniphotography and check out his work virgilreligioni.smugsmug.com
What a moment to experience - only a few weeks left of the season, each day gets longer and longer. Soon we'll welcome the midnight sun 🌞 . @wanderingowltromso , Thanx for reposting this 👉👉📷 @chanel_r . #wanderingowltromso#visittromsø
A phenomenal experience. 3 hour drive to Finland in subzero weather, to a frozen lake. We almost lost hope because of snowstorms and cloudy weather, and got lucky with one of the best dancing auroras of the season! Thanks to @wanderingowltromso for the adventure and the pictures!!
The polar night is quiet and still before the wind comes ❤️🍃 The Northern Lights can be vibrant and moving in strong gusts - it can feel strange that we do not hear them Photographer Virgil R. Check out his work here >>> @virgilreglioniphotography
#northernlights#tromso
Dreaming of living here, just as a fisherman, life would be so much simpler. Unless I cant find any fish, that would be bad. Oh, and I also have a habit of falling out of boats.....maybe not then! 🤦♂️🤣 . . . . . #tromsolove#tromsomoment
Meet #actionowl KarolisOwl - though it is his first season in Tromso, he is by no means new to Norway or Scandinavian culture - having spent time here #volunteering and before. Our Lithuanian Owl has been a for 3 years and he is interested in everything outdoors and nature related. His fav food is stew (luckily because he has had soup for dinner most nights since December!). Fun fact about @karolisketurka is that he hitch hiked for 7000 km through Scandinavia and for 103 different cars! Maybe you have met him before on another of his adventures! ...
Went out aurora hunting with the Wandering Owls tour group. Found an amazing location in a fjord surrounded by mountains. Unfortunately not a lot of aurora action but the location and our amazing guide still made it a great night. #norway#tromso
A “baby aurora borealis” taken on an aurora chasing trip with @wanderingowltromso, just north of Tromsø. — Our goal for February trip to Norway was auroras, and this was the first of two nights with auroras. This one wasn’t too exciting, but it was a nice scene with the aurora, a fjord, a mountain, and little red Norwegian houses. — @wanderingowltromso was awesome, warm overalls and boots, an extra tripod (3 cameras), hot soup, cocoa, and a campfire. — Taken with a Fuji XT3 and a Laowa 9mm ultrawide rectilinear lens at f2.8, ISO 800, 10 sec — ...
