5 mile run around Sevenoaks today, with 3x2min strides. Felt tired and slow but it turned out I was a little faster than my last run around that route. . No photos as it was boring dark roads. Instead this is another picture of my run in Hyde Park yesterday morning - I love the early morning mist. Makes it worth dragging my ass out of bed when all I really want to do when my alarm goes off is go back to sleep. . . . #run#running
The hard part of base aerobic training is having the discipline to train at these low intensities. It may mean running very slowly or even walking. It may mean separating from your training group in order to pursue your individual goals. It also means keeping your ego away and not listening to your competitiveness. I’m determined to improve my base training these months before starting the year preparing for the new challenges. My persistence is paying off already. 👍🏼 #runnersofinstagram#runningmotivation

Kesgrave Kruisers last night for an interval session of 6 X (4 min efforts with 2 min recovery) 🏃 Hard pushing the efforts for the 4 minutes but worth it in the end. Did some foam rolling on the right calf as still a little stiff even after stretching. Rest day today and a meeting in London with a possibility of a couple cheeky beers for Christmas after!!🍺👍

2018 Marathons ... ➡️ 3 🔥☀️ races (damn you 🇦🇺). ➡️ 2 PBs (17 minutes total ✂️) ➡️ 1 horrendous 🤮 experience 😅 ➡️ 3 different states in 🇦🇺. ➡️ so many incredible friends and memories made 👫👬👭 ... Last night we headed over to The Physios to offer gait analysis and fitting at the clinic Jon Grayson the head running physio was also on hand to give out advice any advice needed on staying injury free. We have worked very closely over the last few years with these guys and the feedback we receive is nothing short of remarkable its important we can pass people on to a reliable physio with first clas treatment when we in store cannot provide the answers or recommend something other then just changing shoes. It's not all Sunshine and trails. Last night was multiple loops around the industrial estate I fondly call 'The Block'. Each lap is just short of a mile and it's the flattest place I can find that allows me to get some speedwork in without having to take on any hills. ⛰️⛰️ _______________________________ The task last night was to run 2 mile warm up, followed by some strides then in to 8x 2min at target 5km pace with 75secs jog recovery.
