Almost done, I apologize for the spam lol! This is my #pineapplemint plant! I’ve actually been looking for #pineapplesage (which I had before and had... an unfortunate incident) but this mint plant piqued my interest! Apparently you can make tea from the leaves! :o I’m excited to try it~
This is what happens when I go to buy hay and meander into the plant area. When herbs are $1.79 you have to buy 8 right? 🤣 But these weren’t just any herbs. I am excited to try some new ones — pineapple sage, honeydew melon sage, curry, tarragon, chocolate mint, and German chamomile. Anyone have any experience with growing these? . . . . . #herbs#herbgarden via @preview.app
A misty start to ANZAC Day. Remembering those that lost their lives in the wars so we could live in Peace. 🕊 My Uncle, who I never met, lost his life when his plane blew up over the coast of the Netherlands and is buried with his crew there. My mother lost her fiancee in Scotland and he is buried there. #mistymorning#inmygarden
🌹Weeeeeeee! So I spent all Sunday planting my little herb garden the second, and finally here are the pics! Three days later it still looks good — fingers crossed the girls don’t decide it’s the prime dustbath central...😑 🌱🌾🌿🍂☘️ (🚫🐓) I have wanted a legit herb garden for multiple uses for quite a while— and even moreso since reading @rosemarygladstar ’s wonderful Medicinal Herbs book, gift from my mom! 💚 I’ve always LOVED planting. Seeds, sprouts, plants, you name it. Even before I really jumped on the conscious bandwagon of #witchery I *felt* the little plants and especially the soil. ...
Replant in some Push from the test batch last year, reamended with a little Rainbow Pro top dress. The white flowered strawberries(quinalts), tarragon, mints(except pineapple), pineapple sage, and the lemon verbena are from last year. I have some volunteers too but im not sure what they are yet! #spring#stwarberries
Hello. I’ve had a little Instagram break due to some health stuff, but I’m back. And as the story of these blooms suggests, I’m in fine form 💁🏼♀️. . @peachykeen_claire and I went for gelato, and stayed to forage these wild edible beauties 😬. . (I think Claire now accepts me for who I am, and that I have no shame when it comes to community gardening 💗). . Also, I’m joining the #ayearinflowers challenge, which I think is such a cool concept to share what’s growing around the world. . . . . . . ____________________ #week17flowers ...

So I’ve had amazing responses on my Sage Gelato. It’s one of my favourite flavour. @nicklam2008 told me about this Pineapple 🍍 Sage 🌿 herb and that I should try it for my gelato. I found one on my walk yesterday. It’s a tropical plant, so it’s been inside a greenhouse all winter. Have you had the pleasure of smelling this herb? It’s pineapple!! OMG. Amazing! So, I have to keep this plant alive and healthy so I can harvest it and turn it into pineapple-sage gelato. Can’t wait. #artisinal#gelato
My herb garden is popping with colour at the moment with my Tarragon out in full flower and the pineapple sage shrubs are just coming out i bloom too! I started off with just one pineapple sage plant and i now have 3 from taking cuttings off the first plant. I am slowly expanding my herbs each season! #herbgarden#herbs
Happy Belated Easter 🐣 🐇 I had a wonderful long weekend camping with Family! Here’s a table arrangement I whipped up this morning with all flowers and greenery coming from the garden 🌼🌿 #flowersalbury#alburyflowers
I know I know... they are sad looking, but they actually aren’t sad! (Double fingers crossed) I just propagated few pineapple sages and rosemaries, the originals are from my friend and he kindly spared his kiddos with me! This is my very first time propagating and I am paranoid, hoping that they’ll come back. #propagation#propagating

Lots of lush growth in the #herbgarden, which thrived after being thickly mulched with #usedcoffeegrounds & straw ☕☕☕ Pleased to see no ill effects from the copious amounts of coffee grounds we throw around our garden every week- quite the contrary- the worms love it! A fragrant, sensory jumble of and (the weed, but we use its fronds) right next to the kitchen door . . . . . . . . .
A pair of Eastern Spinebills are flying back and forth between this pineapple sage and Salvia Costa Rica on the other side of the garden, sipping nectar. I love how their wing beats sound like a sheet flapping in a strong wind. They are unmistakeable. #pineapplesage#miscanthus
I picked up some pineapple sage at the nursery and it REALLY smells like pineapple. Eventually I’ll cook something with it. But, in the meantime I’m just sniffing 👃 and painting 🎨 it. 🤷🏻♀️ #workinprogress . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #art
Spring is amazing! Who says you need flower beds, gardens to grow anything? I love herb gardens. Something about gathering fresh herbs a can’t be beat. So some soil and a wash tub and they have taken off! #spring#washtub
Happy Earth Day. What a beautiful surprise this morning to enjoy the garden after rain in the night. If you are in Auckland and spent the Easter weekend planting in the garden, you’ll also be happy to see everything has had a lovely drink. And if you had gardening planned for today, then hurray! - the soil is ready for new plants, so get up and get to it. A few pictures today of edible flowers - many of these will be available through the winter. Now is a great time to get them planted, so you have colour in ...
I’ve had this #pineapplesage for 3+ years and it’s always been indoors. I recently transferred it to a new home in a bigger pot/different location (brighter) and it’s showing a lot of new #growth. Hoping it will soon. ❤️🌱😍
A full day iut in the garden today getting lots of jobs done, filling garden beds with chook manuer and compost. Found a few red cabbages that got a head start at the end of summer and are thriving along in the garden, i am hoping i get some good harvests this year! #brassicas#redcabbage
Went out and got me some plant babies to take care of. I want to start making extracts to bake with as well as use some of these for other purposes. It's very relaxing to take care of them and ugh💚🌿 #mint#plants
Let’s get this cocktail herb garden started! I’m pretty excited about this fresh little pineapple sage I picked up today. It’ll make a fruity addition to a citrusy summer cocktail in no time! 💚🌿 #pineapplesage
J: "Wow! Where did all these plants come from?" Me: "I went to a really cool sale for the FTCC horticulture students with Ms. Kayla today." J: "Did you buy tombstones too?" Me: "No... What do you mean? Why do we need those?" J: "You know they're gonna die Mommy!" WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I TOLD THEM WHILE I WAS THERE!! 😂😂 #plants#plantsale
