Summer has arrived in Margaret River and this will be my summer drink not wine..Fever Tree tonic with crushed pineapple sage and just a splash of gin 😍 and scored a new glass courtesy of Bombay Sapphire, not quite Hendricks with cucumber@satori____ but close! #crushedpineapplesag#pineapplesage 😂
Who knew pineapple sage and rhubarb could be so happy in the middle of November? Waiting until hummingbirds are done feasting on the nectar before harvesting pineapple sage for tea #gardentea#growyourownherbs
For a few hours today, my #backyard#herbgarden was even more beautiful than it usually is. The giant @greensgrow steals the show, though my four varietals of and four types, too, of are looking pretty good, as well. The in the foreground are in their tenth year in this bed!
African blue basil, rosemary, cherry blossom, oregano, baccarat rose and pineapple sage I am really loving deep purple of basil, still trying to flower oregano, bubs on cherry blossoms, sharp red of pineapple sage #pineapplesage#africanblue
Here's a little sage advice. Use this plant to add a taste of the tropics to your food or drinks. Pineapple Sage (Salvia elegans) is aptly named. The leaves can be dried and used in teas and pot-pourris. Fresh leaves can be added to salads, jams, jellies, drinks, and desserts! This is a great addition to both a #pollinatorgarden and a #herbgarden. 😋👃😍
An ocean of Pineapple Sage in bloom earlier this fall at @barefootbotanicals. The bright red blossoms really do taste like pineapple and make a nice garnish on salads, sorbet, and fish. Consider adding a patch into your spring herb garden planning. . We use it in our #tumtumtea blend along with Lemon Verbena, Anise Hyssop, and Catnip. This tea, available again in our online shop, is perfect for soothing your mind and body (especially after big holiday meals). . All ingredients for this blend are sourced from Linda and Eric at Barefoot Botanicals on their Organic herb farm. Check out ...
We had our first freeze the other night. I snapped these photos of our last garden blooms the afternoon prior. Of course, the pineapple sage that I started from seed in March JUST started to bloom last week.😂 I think I will skip those next year and save the space for plants we eat on the regular. Thank you, Mother Nature, for providing us with all of these beautiful blooms! What a gorgeous growing season send-off! ❤ #nasturtium#marigold

pro·cliv·i·ty (noun) a tendency to choose or do something regularly; an inclination or predisposition toward a particular thing. ....I have a proclivity for the wonderful beers from @suarezfamilybrewery 😍 #proclivity#nybeer
Not goodbye, just farewell until spring to the last of the flowers and herbs. The bumper crop of red roselle hibiscus tea plants survived Hurricane Michael, although flattened, but they and everything else won’t survive the upcoming week of freezing night time temperatures. Tulsi is hanging on and even blooming, but Greek basils are done. Seed catalogs arrive in January. Until then... #winteriscoming#dreamtime
The #pineapplesage just looking good as always. A gorgeous plant that’s easy to grow, and great to have around for summer cocktails or punches. Use as you would mint for a beautiful pineapple flavour! 🍍 #salviaelegans
Anyone want to try pineapple sage jelly? Leah decided she was not going let the frost kill her sage herbs. These are going to be a great addition to her current jelly offerings. Lucky me got to be the taste tester on this batch. It's a winner! Dr. Arland Hill at Harvest Hills Ranch where food and functional medicine merge. Learn more at www.drarlandhill.com
🌱💕🍍 This beauty here is a #pineapplesage and has been my favorite newbie in the garden this year. It truly does smell like pineapple, y'all! I especially like to use it as garnish in drinks. 💕🌱😍🍍🍹💕 And as if that weren't enough, it has just began to flower these intriguingly gorgeous deep magenta red long beauties. I'm in love! 💕😍💕 . #iloveflowers
