Built between 1438-1469 by Gajapati Kapilendra Dev of Odisha, this fort was later converted to a mosque during the reign of Aurangzeb. Both Medieval and Mughal architecture are visible in its ruins. . Unlike other heritage structures of Bengal, this fort is well maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. However, very few people have been here, or have even heard about its existence. I myself took the help of Google, and kind of discovered it during an early morning ...
