Hibiscus schizopetalus, (un)commonly known as fringed hibiscus or Japanese lantern, is native to tropical areas of the eastern coast of Africa (Kenya, Tanazania, Mozambique). This week I learnt that this species of #hibiscus exists. Known as a #japaneselantern and botanical name (how rude to say that about the petals mind!!) Even though I think this is an awesome flower, my favourite hibiscus will always be number 3 (swipe) as it reminds me of my grandma's garden 😊.
Final touches today on this entry garden. So grateful for the opportunity to work on this project and utterly thrilled at how it has turned out. I was literally jumping when I saw how perfectly the #hibiscusschizopetalus went into this garden. What’s more, the light is perfect on this garden and these flowers get illuminated most of the day so the glow in the sunshine set against a shadowed white wall for a background.
