Delicate, last moments of light glowing at this classic lighthouse. It doesn’t get more Maine than this. Such a beautiful spot. I could easily spend an entire day here! - Nikon Z 6 24-70mm - @matt_oliphant_photography ... #ig_color #earthfocus
Layers of dirt, trees, rock, water and air. I saw a bear on the road up here, and after a cute vanlife couple with a dog drove off, I had the whole place to myself. I wasn’t sure what the weather would do, but I was given quite a show as the clouds moved in. Witnessing this moment from this exact spot — and knowing that it only existed for me — is a weird, beautiful and powerful thing. We only have one life on this earth, and when it keeps giving us gifts like this, we need to ask ...
Ik Kil Cenote located just outside Chichen Itza is a great place to cool off after walking around the hot dry ruin grounds. It rests about 100ft deep, and is lined with vines from the surrounding jungle. As it happens this is also a great scene to practice your exposure blending. I had to blend a total of 5 images from the a7iii to get this shot. ——————————————————————— Shot Info: Sony a7iii w/ Sony GM 16-35mm f/2.8 ISO400, 18mm, f/5.6, (5 Image Exposure Blend)
Since his rise to fame in the 1950s, Ellsworth Kelly has played with color and shape to create dynamic works that do not adhere to one art movement. ✨ "I have worked to free shape from its ground, and then to work the shape so that it has a definite relationship to the space around it; so that it has a clarity and a measure within itself of its parts (angles, curves, edges and mass); and so that, with color and tonality, the shape finds its own space and always demands its freedom and separateness." -Ellsworth Kelly ✨ Swipe right ...

So much to do, so little time. I need to breathe. Going through old photos reminded me of moments when nothing else mattered but what was unfolding in front me. Maybe I can take notes and learn a thing or two. 🤷♂️

I now understand why @puremichigan refers to winter as Michigan's "signature season". Not too many places have lighthouses that get encapsulated in ice like they do here. This is the Muskegon Breakwater Light and it was really neat to have the chance to make it to the light and to the top of the giant hill of ice next to it.
A Glimpse The Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes were by far and away the highlight of my trip in Death Valley. I had just one evening there, with one sunset, and it checked all my boxes. The wind was just about intolerable, gusting at 40-50 mph, causing sand to get absolutely everywhere. The clouds were monumental, and, just before sunset, the light came through and brought everything to a level I never thought possible. This was shot during a VERY short break in the wind, where I was actually able to face the sun without getting a faceful ...

It is estimated that around 30 million people visit Niagara Falls each year, with numbers rising all the time. Some come just to take a quick snap, whereas others stay to explore everything Niagara has to offer. One of the most popular attractions is the Maid of the Mist Boat cruise, which takes visitors right into the falls. . . #photography#insta
American Falls is the second largest of the three waterfalls, which together are known as Niagara Falls on the Niagara River along the border between Canada and the United States. Unlike the much larger Horseshoe Falls, of which two thirds are in Ontario, Canada and one third in the US state of New York, American Falls is entirely in the United States. . . #photography#insta
In Paris, France 🇫🇷 Jim Morrison’s grave. The most visited grave in Père Lachaise 250 years old cimetery. Chewing-gums tree Fans who visit the grave place photos, flowers, notes, ribbons and candles on his modest tombstone, which bears the inscription "True to Your Own Spirit" in Greek. Visitors often stick chewing gum on a nearby tree as a sign of independence and flouting of authority — hallmarks of Morrison’s life. “The chewing gum is just a way for people to say ‘I was here,’ ” said Paul Bauer, a tour guide who has worked at Pere Lachaise for 30 ...
