Good Morning Miss Flabellina! Time to wake up ⌚ (Nudi-ID: "Flabellina rubrolineata" spotted at Koh Tao's Green Rock) . . Dont forgett to follow me for more daily underwater impressions 😉 . . . . #buddhaviewdiveresort#bvdiving @buddhaviewdiveresort @kohtaoprovideo @alunaticsworld
Flabellina rubrolineata, my first encounter with such a pretty nudibranch! I was so excited and focused on the nudi that I didn’t notice the little lines of eggs on the branch till after! Their eggs contain toxins from sea sponges and hydroids that they eat as a means of deterring predators. The lifespan of nudibranchs can range from a few weeks to a year, depending on the species . . . #nudibranch#flabellina
One of my favourite creatures ever. Nudibranchs are not only beautiful but also have very interesting behaviour such as cleptodefense. 60mm f7.1 1/180 ISO 200. I should have used smaller aperture to get everything in focus. #nudibranquio#flabellina @olympuscameras
Saw SO MANY NUDES during our tidepool outing today. These were a new species of nudibranch for me, Flabellina trilineata. Once I spotted these two, I found them EVERYWHERE in the low intertidal. They were hiding among sea grass or eating near entoprocts in pools. Nudibranchs are absolutely my favorite animals, so I was over the moon to see all of these beauties today! • My super cool friend, Amanda @scatter_cushion organized this outing with a Facebook group for Aptos and we had a great turnout of scientists and non-scientists alike! @onechicktravels was also there to take gorgeous pictures and ...
Did you know that the orange-coloured tubes are part of the animal's digestive system? And even more #wow, they store part of the #cnidocytes they eat in the white points at the end of the protuberances and they use it to defend themselves!

Flabellina Affinis Nudibranch. Not a particularly flattering photo of it... But, the colours are awesome. This is one of the more common nudibranches that can be found around Spain. From the Costa brava to Tarifa! #nudi#nudibranch
Such a "Neon Paradise" that illuminates even the most dark sides under our pleasant Mediterranean sea. This is an enormous gigantic specimen of Flabellina Affinis, one of the most habitual nidibranchs (by now, you know, climate change... Ehem...). Usually its size does not exceed a few millimeters, but this one was prepared for the biggest and craziest "Disco Night Party", put in estheroids and anabolics. Flabellina A.K.A. So this nudibranch is an Eveline's Learchis. It was only around 4mm long and very difficult to get photos of. This is the best I could do but I was so excited. Supposedly this is one of the only nudibranches spotted by anyone from @pocnadivecenter ever. . . . #diving#mexico @aschwarzer
Light up moments! I was diving at this dive point called Gabet in Manado Mainland. It was the usual reef scene. But after wondering for a while I was thinking there would not be anything interesting. My dive guide Ronni pointed to this nudibranch dancing on a coral polyps! As it was lit up, the polyps looked like the “light bulbs” lighting up this nudibranch! Nature has a way of brightening up your moments! #flabellina#nudibranch
A Flabellina Aeolis, Flabellina sp., an undescribed species. Often called Verilli. Feeding on a hydroid in Peirce Island, New Hampshire. Hard to believe that these little nudibranchs live in the Mooloolah River system. The colours are just breathtaking. I don’t think I will ever get sick of finding and photographing these beauties 😍 #nudibranch#flabellina
#repost @cccroft ・・・ Nice moustache Sir! Coryphellina Rubrolineata in Rhodes, Greece from this summer. These little fellows come from the Indian Ocean, but made their way all the way to the Med. Beautiful! - Picture taken with an Olympus Tg5 and a video light. - #olympustg5
