❈ “Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt” ❈ John Muir . . . Reflecting on an amazing trip to Moab this past week. I’m super thankful for beautiful places and how abundant they are. I’m also thankful for Jared’s willingness to meet me halfway and explore new places. I can’t wait to go out and see more 🙌🏼

This is Kodachrome State Park, a beautiful hidden little gem southeast of Tropic, UT. It really shows the layers in the rock around Grand Staircase Escalante, which is not too far away. Very cool and worth a visit! 😎😊 #spring2019#springtime
Took a fun Sunday afternoon drive with my hubby and my son @beenjammin77 Josh today through Bryce Canyon National Park and then to Mossy Cave near Tropic. Saw some cool hoodoos and ice columns! #spring2019#springtime

Well guys, vacation didn’t make my depression and anxiety magically go away… Vacation also hasn’t magically cured Jack’s tantrums or Rowan’s biting/pushing habits. We are still living real life while touring beautiful Southern Utah. Time outs, control battles, and boundary pushing are still filling our days. BUT, we are seeing some incredible sights and finding simple moments of bliss every day. I focus on these moments and try and breathe through the rest. Watching Rowan at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park build sand castles, destroy sand castles, throw sand, run through sand, and awkwardly pick up rabbit poop ...
Never regret where you’ve been and what you’ve experienced, for you have grown so much and yet have been prepared for so much more to come. Make the most of each and every day because you will not experience the last 24 hours again. The next millisecond and beyond will be gone by the time you finish reading this. Make the most of the minutes and hours to follow... they will be unique to you and only you. #classicautomobile#vintageauto ...
Today we drove 4 hours to Bryce Canyon (and listened to Serial podcast the whole way 😉) and while alot of the park was closed, we still saw a great deal. Its really hard to pick just a few photos of such an incredibly beautiful national park but here is my try. #brycecanyon#hoodos
I spent last night pretending to be a hippie, soaking in a hotspring and sleeping in a converted school bus. (Also, I forgot my burger flipper and found on in the communal kitchen that was from the 1970s and I was 5 sec from taking it with me.) I can't believe this was 2.5 hours from my house.
This time last year we bought a National Parks Pass when we made a spontaneous trip to Arches. We visited 5 amazing places this year with our pass. 1) Redwoods 2) Death Valley 3) Bryce Canyon 4) Arches and 5) Zion. Visiting these awe-inspiring places has only stoked our fire to see more!!! Daniel says his new favorite national park is the Redwoods. I'd say it's a tie for Redwoods, Grand Canyon, and Zion. What is your favorite national park? We want to know to make sure to add it to our bucket list!!! #nationalparks#redwoodnationalpark ...
Hot springs; I am A B O U T it. I’m on the hunt for the best hot springs the US has to offer and here’s where my search has led me. When it comes to the hot and bubbly; where’s your favorite place to soak? #utahgram
ᴵᶜᴱ QᏌᎬᎬN ❄️ ⠂ Springtime?? It’s still snowing somewhere... ☃️ I’m super excited to share the rest of this amazing winter wonderland shoot at the Ice Castles with Model @mashadiduk as well as more snowboard fun on my IG stories from my Denver Trip last week!! (Better late than never.... Am I right??) Haha 😂😘❄️
Balanced; there isn’t only Arches in Arches National Park! And I have to admit that it is quite impressing to see such a big rock standing perfectly balanced on top of that much smaller rock formation! How was my sunset that night in Arches National? MEH!!! But you know, when the sunset happens to be a boring clear sky one, it means I might have a shot at astro photography as well!!😁And so I did! This image basically is a composite of a blue hour shot and a starry sky shot both taken the same night at the exact same ...
First obstacle: trying to win the lottery out of 60 people (only 10 people per day) 2nd obstacle: Getting to the trailhead on a rainy weekend. The main road was flooded and impassable. Went on a 2 hour detour, and the road was almost impassable, but we made it! • • • • • • • • • 📸: @pajarillagajay #getoutdoors#earthpix

This is the West Rim Trail which leads to Angel’s Landing. After about 20 steep switchbacks you make your way out to a narrow ridge with a sheer 1000-foot canyon drop on either side. There are chains bolted to the rock to hold on to. It’s the most terrifying hike I’ve ever done and I’ll never do it again! 😅 I made it almost the whole way until I saw a 20-foot section near the end with no chain to hold on to. Hell no! I turned back around and the strangers I passed gave me so much encouragement. ...

day three. here’s a pic moments before starting what would end up being the raddest journey i’ve ever been on. i had never been backpacking & was worried that i wasn’t going to be able to keep up with these guys, but come the second day out there, i was completely kicking their asses *hashtag dani’s death march*. i seriously fell in love with this new outdoor adventure & cannot wait for the next one. peep the instagram story to see some more shots from days 3-5 out in hurricane wash + coyote gulch 🎒🏞⛺️
View of the Utah State Capital building, with the Salt Lake International Airport tower in the background. I shot this from 5 miles away, from the parking lot at the Natural History Museum of Utah. #utah#igutah

While this little slot canyon might not be as impressive as Antelope Canyon, the journey to get to this moment made it all so much more satisfying. 15 miles down a dirt road, a 2.5 mile hike through the desert, a cracked lens, a ripped t-shirt, and wading through waist deep freezing cold water... totally worth it. . . Swipe to see some behind the scenes of getting through the canyon.
Faint red showed itself along the horizon just before dawn and then shifted into overdrive as it lightened and spread its wings up and out across the eastern skies, reaching ever higher and wider until it stretched across the entire dome, casting a rosy glow over everything in its path. 3/20/19 . . . https://marywatermanphotography.smugmug.com/Winter/
Color blazing across a late winter sky, the reflection of Timp on a thin layer of ice covering the pond, and gratefulness in my heart. That's my idea of a perfect morning. 3/20/19 . . . https://marywatermanphotography.smugmug.com/Winter/
