Good news for NYC burger fiends: Next week, Tribeca gains an outpost of Chicago's wildly popular diner Au Cheval — whose classic American burger has garnered national acclaim. It’s a simple cheeseburger made of two griddled four-ounce patties with American cheese, dijonnaise, and pickles on a toasted bun, yet some say it's the best in the country (It’s pictured here with three patties, plus bacon).
