From ambassador @lee.on.the.rocks:⠀ ⠀ "We took team ACG out for some outdoors climbing fun to Stoney Point, a classic spot in SoCal. Weather was perfect and there were some great sends. Can’t wait to go back!"⠀ ⠀ This human's dedication to his community, climbing and otherwise, is a huge inspiration! Thanks for being you, and doing what you do.⠀ ⠀ Lee in our High Maintenance Men's tee at Stoney Point, CA.⠀ ⠀ #bouldering#climbing
Another attempt at HOT TUNA at #stoneypointpark I lost count on sessions but noticing small progress on every attempt, it’s adding up. Almost 2 years on the works. It has taught me to never give up and keep at it, don’t stop! Because it’s just a matter of time. This is now more than just a climb for me. Let’s do this! 🎥: @geekclimb It will be mine. . . . #climbing
Super desperate and cool climb, Expansion Chamber, V7. Punt video before send. - I was working out the moves, and some guys approached me and asked. “Do you work at Sender One?” I replied “Yeah I do!” And they asked “Are you s0obs?” I was pretty bewildered and was like “Yeah, how do you do me?” Turns out we’re IG friends haha. One of the funniest moments ever. So glad to meet you guys in person Matt and James! - Gosh the top section was miserable on this problem, and some strong locals offered to show me the beta. He ...
Wanted to try White Angel Traverse, but I wasn’t strong enough to locate the holds for first few moves. Started halfway at Gomer Pile instead and traversed out right. I just wanted to do the double gaston section and the topout, which were quite strenuous! I would argue V5/6.
It was Christmas of 2017 that I sent my first outdoor project, Crack Direct, with much support and spotting by Hannah and Mitch. I was surprised how fluid the problem felt today. Maybe there was progress. — Crack Direct, V5
Excruciating fun times bouldering with awesome climbing families! My first time climbing at Stoney Point Park and I’m already uber excited to come back to send more projects 😱❤️. Thanks for the adventures @ron.tsuruda @julievnails @smmallin #stoneypointpark#climbon
Bouldering really tests my mental strength. I usually let it get the best of me and don’t allow myself to get too far off the ground. If I have a rope (even on lead) I feel so much more confident. Yesterday I actually went for this problem and topped out. Was it physically challenging? No. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t push myself in other ways. And damn this boulder was tall! Just a reminder that you don’t always have to be chasing grades. Have fun out there! 📷 @yerba_matty
Sunday's shenanigans with @iglizzie and @seandnguyen at Stoney Point! I've been loving photos that have smaller human subjects in front of larger, natural backdrops. Overall, I've really missed shooting with a camera in my hand rather than depend on the ease of my phone 😞
Had an awesome Sunday climbing outdoors with @jenifffffer @germanom @about_chung @icampusnothing @emyang92 and @t_l0.0l_t. I finished The Crack (V3) but didn’t get a video of it so here’s a pic of me working on Hot Tuna (V5), a very fun roof traverse with lots of heel hooks. 📷:@emyang92
After climbing mostly on plastic for the last few months, I thought it would be nice to climb on some real rock. Signed up for a class, met a group of awesome women and learned a lot! Outdoor PR: 5.9. Can’t wait to do more climbing outside 😊 Please excuse my cheese puff helmet... #stoneypoint#stoneypointpark
After almost two months living in Los Angeles, I only have two things to report: It’s unfair how much good climbing there is, and my car bumper has hit the asphalt about 800 times going through intersections, courtesy of street canal infrastructure.
Bob Kamps was a free climbing pioneer who helped push the sport into 5.11 territory. He also climbed at Stoney Point for nearly 50 years. I hope you enjoy this rare footage of him cruising out at the point and talking about his love for bouldering in the old school film "Above the Smogline" by Richard Pelusi. . Also featured is Eddie Yansick busting out "Udder Pink" V10, which I think is known as "Ed's Direct" now but I'm not sure. @lunarlevy @malibuslam @lacountybouldering you guys have any thoughts on this? Anyway, if you know about Socal climbing history then ...
Check out my Onlyfans for the other half of this photo and more! 🍆@grgisthewerd and I went with @travislanephoto to take some pictures in gorgeous, Stoney Point Park where they filmed many classic Westerns.
Awesome time learning climbing rescue skills with REI! It'd be great if I won't need to use it, but it's always good to know what to do in case unexpected happens!🙂 . . . #awesomeinstructor#safetryfirst
