Yukatas laid out by size for guests to use at a traditional ryokan. Yukatas are more casual than kimonos and tend to be made of lighter fabrics. These colourful ones are like the ones usually worn by Maiko, young geishas-in training.
The island is also home to 500 of these Rakan statues, each representing a disciple of Buddha, at Daishō-in temple. They all have their own unique facial expressions, and their own knitted cap - to keep them warm in winter! #japan#miyajima
