The labyrinth of life has digested me into its beautiful chaos and I have found myself in Kenya. Never having left Australia before, coming to Africa is such a mindblowing experience. It is the birthplace of my partner Jasper and home to his family business, a 100 yr old safari camp in the Maasai Mara. I have the incredible opportunity to witness this ancient land and its wild and beautiful inhabitants, human and animal alike. Sweet and sour, I am so grateful to experience the dichotomy of life and this world we live in.
Kenya Africa . The wildness and magic of possibilities. Some photographers are image hunters while others are image farmers. I live mostly off the farm, sometimes stumbling through rocky grounds chasing, hoping, through the day with faith in the possibilities. This day I chased the light with hope and a measure of desperation. With the sunset fading the land was quietly empty. We ( my driver and guide) decided our best and perhaps only chance for wild magic was to wait and let the moment come to us, or not. Seeing this image again after so long brings back the ...
Rules of engagement. - There is nothing Instagram values and rewards more than engagement. But sadly not its meaningfulness or quality, but the volume. - Ever since I was able to speak I would engage with others; I would endlessly ask questions, I would search for answers and constantly wonder what people think. I love listening to what others have to say and I have always participated in discussions (provided I have something interesting to share) with passion and commitment. I do my research, but regardless of how much I know most of the times I assume I ...
MAASAI MARA ZEBRA KILL - Maasai Mara, Kenya [FILM] . A powerful scene filled with emotions for me. Nature at its best and a true display of survival of the fittest. A Maasai village is in the background showing how people and wild animals must coexist. . @featured_wildlife @africanamazing @shots_of_animals
Have you ever heard the sound of bones crunching? I hadn’t until this moment. It just shows you how powerful these creatures are, that they can effortlessly crunch through bones. A few nights after this photo was taken I got woken up by a noise outside my tent very close to it, the same noise. Didn’t sleep too well that night
The Maasais have become one of the attractions on the Maasai Mara. They have simple but dazzling smiles on their faces. #maasaimara#onebeltoneroad @natgeotravel @earthpix @wonderful_places @bestplaces_togo @beautifuldestinations @sonyHongKong
The Maasais were deprived of the income from selling preys after the government-issued preservation in 1977. #maasaimara#onebeltoneroad @natgeotravel @earthpix @wonderful_places @bestplaces_togo @beautifuldestinations @sonyHongKong
ELEPHANT AND CALF - Maasai Mara, Kenya [FILM] . The sun had set and it was quiet on the Mara. Watching this mother elephant and her calf was beyond special. . . @shots_of_animals @africanamazing @kenyaviews
Elephants on the move to find a waterhole in the Maasai Mara Kenya. Elephants live in a matriarchal society with the oldest female leading a herd. Elephants acquire knowledge and experience through learning, much the same as humans, so the matriarch passes down migratory routes, the location of food and water sources to the rest of the herd. Through the gaps between cloud layers, the crepuscular rays shine above the grand savannah. These rays, sometimes referred as the "Jesus Rays", can be seen in Africa every day, showering this piece of land with infinite vigorousness. #maasaimara#onebeltoneroad @natgeotravel @earthpix @wonderful_places @bestplaces_togo @beautifuldestinations @sonyHongKong
"You lookin' at me?" We watched this leopard sleep for 45 minutes, waiting to see if it would move or poke its head up. It was having a post-lunch siesta, so we decided to eat too while we were waiting. Suddenly, it jolted and looked straight at us, as if annoyed about being observed. @vibhuti.7 & I got the shot before it leaped deeper into the bush. #leopard#safari @natgeoyourshot @youpic @lonelyplanet
MAASAI MARA GIRAFFES - Maasai Mara, Kenya [FILM] . This was shot with film awhile back. Not only is this frame filled with Maasai Giraffes, there are a large number of impala in the background as well. The Maasai Mara is filled with exciting wildlife!

This Maasai kid playing in his house and was glad to be visited. Entering the Maasai house, it was suprisingly spacious. Inside the houses are pretty dark and flies can be seen everywhere. The Maasai people lit fire inside their home for lighting & cooking. . . . . #maasaimara#travelholic
I was 23 years old when I took this picture. She is a girl I met while we waited our van to start again. It was somewhere in the Maasai Mara. She came closer to talk to us. She was the third wife of an older man. THE-THIRD-WIFE... that girl around ten years younger than me. I was shocked and sad. #stopchildmarriage . . . . . . . . . . . #vscotravel
