On our second stop of our 2019 Rugby World Cup tour 🏉🏟, we visited the Itsukushima shrine, located on Miyajima island which in Japanese means “shrine island”. Known for its “floating” torii gate ⛩, if you are lucky to catch it during low tide, you’ll be able to walk across the O-torii gate to take pictures. 📸 The shrine complex is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the shrine complex consisting of 37 and 19 buildings inside and outside. The contrast of the vermillion colored buildings against the backdrop of the blue sea and the lush ...
Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima⛩ I remember seeing this place on a postcard 20 years ago and ever since it’s been the one place I’ve truly wanted to visit in Japan. It feels kind of surreal that I finally made it happen💭 ー photos by: @eiki_akiyama ー For extra behind the scenes photos/video of the journey follow @tokyocreative.jp on Instagram #journeyacrossjapan#tokyocreative

⛩ The world was forever changed here, but today the children of this city will go through their day in peace. What a precious thing that is. It is worth protecting, and then extending to every child. That is a future we can choose, a future in which Hiroshima and Nagasaki are known not as the dawn of atomic warfare but as the start of our own moral awakening. - #obama
It is a challenge being a ninja nowadays. Many eyes all around. Specially cctv cameras. The key is practice to be one with the wind and one with the darkness. In the end you will be invisible. Fujifilm XT2 x Fujinon 16mm f1.4 #fujifilmph#fujifilmheartthrob
