Working on saying yes to spontaneous ideas in 2019. Brian is a furloughed USFS employee and I think he has been skiing everyday since the shutdown. So when he said let's go check out the new glades on Baldface, true to my 2019 commitment I said yes. The skinning was great, all 500 miles of it. The turns were not ideal to say the least. #barelybreakablecrust was the ski out for most of it. We did get a few good turns. #governmentshutdown @granite_bc
Emerald Pool was the first place I ever went in the White Mountains in 2009. 8 years later and it was just as beautiful as I remember. Thanks @austinperry88 for the adventure! #whitemountains#emeraldpool
Cliff jumped Friday, hiked a mountain Saturday, and I'm racing in #cenmass8 next weekend. This summers been fun but big things are coming for the winter because ski seasons gunna be crazy @_aidancarter #ohcanada
G'mornin, sunshine. Knocked something off my bucket list by hiking a mountain ridge by the light of a full moon last night. Starting at 8:30pm with headlamps, 7 of us hiked 3 miles up the Baldface Circle Trail and set up tents, then continued up to the ridgeline. When we were out of the trees (like the entire ridge line) the visibility was incredible, you could easily hike and see for miles without headlamps. Also, I had never night-hiked before and the headlamps made it really easy and fun without any amount of sketch! Looking forward to more night ...
