If you’ve visited our SF location in the past few years, you may have had the pleasure of running into Nelson. We were fortunate enough to be a small pit stop on his journey, in between a past life of pastry chefs (former @bravotopchef Pastry contestant) and future world of engineering. Today is his last day at the shop, but he will always be a part of the HoC family. Good luck @nelsonpaz78
Is it just us or do Mondays make you crave an extra strong cup of Armenian coffee? We are proud to partner with Henry's House of Coffee, which donates $1 of every Armenian coffee bag sold to the Armenian EyeCare Project. Stock up on some today and support our cause! #fbf one of our favorite pictures from the remodel... new vs old. For those of you who are new to the HoC family, our 2017 remodel flipped the cafe 180 degrees. On the right is our old counter, which stayed completely open while the left side was under construction. Did what we had to do to keep the HoC supply uninterrupted ☕️
We recently caught a screening of the #oscar nominated documentary Free Solo (highly recommend it!) and had a good laugh in one scene when we spotted climber Alex Honnold using an AeroPress to make his morning coffee. We recently shot a full video on how to use one - so here’s a teaser. Head over to our YouTube channel to watch the video in its entirety. Shoutout to @henryshouseofcoffee for bringing us on to shoot the video for them! . . . . #videoproduction ...
Things might look a little different these days at HoC, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our coffee. Henry’s still roasting beans in the corner of our shop in San Francisco so you can drink our bold, delicious coffee every morning. The other thing that’s still hanging around (no pun intended) is our clock 🕐. Check out yesterday’s post to see what we’re talking about.
#fbf to HoC a loooong time ago. What you’re seeing here is a deli case (believe it or not, with cheeses and olives) where our current seating area is. Besides Henry himself, there is one item from this picture that has made it to the new store... any guesses? Hint: it’s not the beaded curtain.
@kateleahycooks met up with friend-of-the-book @alice.chau (who joined us in Armenia this past May) for coffee and a soujuk sandwich at @henryshouseofcoffee in San Francisco’s Sunset District. They also took home finely ground Armenian coffee to make soorj at home. Thanks for chatting, Henry!
Ain’t enough hours in the day, so first let’s do coffee! Original Owner has been roasting killer coffee for years...Blended Kona Mocha with Almond Milk is a MUST! Cheers from Henry’s Coffee House. #thanksgiving#coffeefirst

Had a wonderful morning shooting at Henry’s House of Coffee in the Sunset. If you’re a fan of local businesses, excellent coffee and amazing people.... welcome to your new coffee place 💫☕️💫 #freelancelife
That moment last Thursday when I instinctively wanted to go inside the venerable Henry’s House of Coffee for a cup of great coffee, but remembered I was to headed to a microbrewery on the next block to begin an afternoon of beer exploration. I’ll order some beans from his website, though. Established in 1965, it is one of the city’s first specialty coffee companies. Henry was roasting the good stuff long before most of us knew we could do better than Mrs. Olson. And, yes, my personal photographer sure did good capturing the moment from across the street. #sunsetdistrictsf#sunsetdistrict ...
HAPPY TUESDAY ✨🤪 i prefer ICED black coffee and HOT lattes 😉. . . Tuesday’s are my fav because I get to go to my transportation club/class and learn about transpo things LOL. The feeling of talking and learning with people who are passionate about a rather niche field of study is one of the best feelings in the world! It’s difficult to find people THAT into talking about the issues of autonomous vehicles and the problems that more investment in high-speed rail can fix. Hahah, hmu if U also are interested in transportation planning or the housing crisis lol ...
Today we met Henry of Henry’s coffee. I am in awe and inspired. He opened his coffee shop in 1965. He has perfected his coffee grinding technique. He loves what he does in this same shop so many years. This is the best reminder to do what you love :)
