Finally an appropriate time for this emoji: ⛩ (much more in stories! Including a cute group of students who gave us paper cranes as part of a school friendship project. I want them to be my pen pals so we can teach each other our native languages) #japan#kyoto
Difficult to beat the crowds at the Fushimi Inari torii gates. Stunning place but you need to get there early if you don’t want to get stuck behind tour groups. This shot was taken around 9.30am. The crowds do thin out as you get higher up the hill though. ⛩⛩⛩ ~~~ #visitjapanau#japan🇯🇵

Fushimi Inari Shrine . The foxes are the messengers of the Shinto rice god Inari . The poetry is the thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails that lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari.
