The Polar Vortex is back 🥶 Schools all across Chicagoland are cancelled tomorrow and probably Thursday as well! Which means no speech sessions 😩 but! When therapy is play based and child-centered there's room to celebrate, have fun AND learn 💗 I modified this session to include birthday themed toys while practicing early concepts/words. Of course we sang happy birthday and practiced lots of "more"! #slp#speechtherapy

Reading to a young child (yes, even an infant) also has mountains of benefits--including bolstering speech and language development! #speechpathology#speechdevelopment
