The difference a few moments of wild light can make in a photo is huge (swipe to see 👉🏻). Iceland lived up to its reputation of wild weather on my recent trip. For those few moments the sun pops through the clouds, it really is magical. @eddiebauer #whyihike#ebcontributor
This was one of those ‘pinch me I’m dreaming places’. We crammed two kayaks, our camping gear and our camera equipment into a floatplane and flew high up into the coast mountains to spend a night in one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever been to!
Had a blast canyoneering in Utah last weekend! Squeezed through some slot canyons and rappelled off some cliffs. Definitely want to go back and do some more! Would you? Swipe for more photos 👉🏻 #atozion#outsidezion @atozion
Blue hour, high up in the Himalayas. Dragging myself out of bed at 15,000ft to shoot sunrise felt harder than hiking the trail to Everest BC itself. Everything up there took so much effort but the rewards were even more satisfying. It’s a special place and no photos or words come close to accurately describing it.
I’m already concerned about the wildfire season here in British Columbia. It’s not even June and we have 22 burning around the province, thankfully we’re getting some rain this week. Do you let wildfire smoke change your travel plans or do you still go for it? PS. If you’re already having campfires, play smart and make sure you extinguish them properly.
I’ve missed the dry desert air, the red rocky landscapes and the smell of campfire in the mornings... It’s good to be back in Utah! I spent the weekend camping, canyoneering & hiking in and around Zion National Park and had the best time! @atozion #atozion#outsidezion
The plan was to take a small boat to the other end of the inlet and day hike to the top of Western Brook Pond. Nature had other plans with wild winds and painful hail. I opted for the scenic ferry instead but spent most of the time hugging the side of the boat 🌊🤢
