Its filled! As expected even with boiling all the branches and seed pods they still wanted to float a bit so had to use the rocks and sand to hold everything down. I think this made for a more natural layout and everything is nicely placed together. Cant wait for the tank to cycle so I can stock it! What should I put in this tank with my toucan tetras!?
Finally got around to redesigning my 7.5g cube! After taking down the previous saltwater set up, I wanted to go in a completely different direction with this tank, and try somthing I've never done before with easy maintenance. So a black water tank was the obvious answer! Ordered a bunch of awesome botanicals from @tanninaquatics to get the tank looking awesome! Definitely go check them out for amazing natural materials! Also going to be using @studioaquatica new substrate ball for some emersed plant growth out of the top! Should make for a cool dynamic against the black water bottom! ...

Heres my submission for the Nano tank competition by @atlantis.aquatics ! My custom rimmless 10g tank.
The 150g is starting to turn into exactly what I envisioned. The valisinaria has exploded with growth this past week! It hasnt been spreading as much, but is finally getting some length and arching over the hardscape. The longest leaves are over a meter long! Everything else has been growing steadily after the last trim. The only other addition has been a few tiny crypt wenditti brown between the rocks that I think will add some nice contrast between the rocks and sand. Otherwise the tank hasnt needed much maintenance, just regular weekly water changes.
The 150g is doing great, did a big trim on it yesterday. The only down side is my new Male neon blue angel passed from unknown causes. Wish he didnt get sick while I was away and could have caught the early symptoms. But on a good note my valisinaria in the background has exploded with growth! Tons of new shoots spreading across the back of the tank just like I was hoping for!

I'm bummed my vacation is almost coming to end, but eager to see what the tanks are going to look like when I get back. Hopfully wont need to do much to get them looking in top shape! . Here is a picture of both big tanks before I left. 150g on the left 65g with the new hardscape on the right.
Some more shots of the 65g rescape, really loving how this wood flows! Lots of cool twists and pockets to fill with plants! Thinking of some ferns, more bolbitus, buces, and mosses. With lots of smaller plant species mixed into the rocks to mix with the mosses. Really excited for how this tank turns out, but that can wait till I get back from my trip to vegas with my amazing girlfriend :D

Fished up the 65 hardscape this weekend and got the tank running again! Added a few more pieces of wood to make the grouping more natural and create more surface area for ferns and mosses. Also started planting using some of my extras I've been hanging on to since the rescape of my 150g tank. Cant wait to fill in this tank with lots of species of plants.
Over the past week I've been working on the rescape of my 65g! Here is my new hardscape, which is still a work in progress. I'm looking for a few more smaller pieces of wood to complete the layout. But other wise I'd say I'm just about done! Almost ready for plants. Next step is fill it and get the filters running again, then set up my new co2 system I've been sitting on for a while now. Excited to turn this tank into an awesome forest style layout in the new few months!

2 of my garra gotyla hanging out in the 150 gallon. Definitely the coolest looking garra species!
This tank has made such a change over the past few weeks. Loving the dense growth from my emersed grown aquatic plants in the foreground. It really makes the tank look full, and is exactly the look I was aiming to achieve! Swipe to see some of the details!

So glad I starting to beat the algae in my 12g. Been doing daily water changes and decreased lighting a bit. And I'm finally noticing a difference! Excited to see more growth out of this tank, like there use to be.
